Penelope Wheezer writes adventure stories for readers ages 9–14 who like their science fiction fast, funny, and full of heart. Her I Am a Teenage Alien series follows Zeeter — a teenage alien with a secret ship, the best friends in the universe, and a crystal the whole galaxy is hunting — across pink oceans, hover-car cities, and faraway planets.
When she isn't sending Zeeter on another mission, she is Debra, a Maryland artist who creates one-of-a-kind handmade jewelry and leather goods as Capricorn Creations. Her happy place is creating art people can wear — and stories young readers can get lost in.
